Assessment
We provide comprehensive evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Each assessment is tailored to the concerns that prompted the referral, with attention to the patient’s history, current needs, and the questions they or their family would need answered.
Neuropsychological testing addresses questions related to attention, learning, cognitive functioning, and development. Common diagnoses assessed for include:

Reach out to us to begin the process. One of our clinicians will contact you to learn about your concerns, discuss your options, answer any initial questions, and determine goodness of fit.
The evaluation then begins with an appointment to discuss your concerns, relevant history, and goals for testing. For adults, this is a one-hour meeting with the clinician. For children, the clinician meets with both the parents and the child to understand their perspectives and needs.
Your clinician develops an individualized testing plan to address your specific referral questions. Before testing begins, we also work with your insurance provider to obtain any required authorization and help clarify anticipated costs.
With your permission, your clinician may gather information from others involved in your care, including other providers, teachers, family members, etc. This additional information helps place the evaluation findings in the context of your history and current functioning.
Testing typically takes five to six hours in total, completed over one or two days. You will also be given questionnaires to complete. When relevant, additional forms may be requested from parents, teachers, or others familiar with the patient’s day-to-day functioning.
Your clinician carefully scores and interprets the results, considering them alongside your history and any additional information gathered. This analysis focuses on answering the referral questions and developing recommendations relevant to your needs.

You receive a written report summarizing the evaluation results, recommendations, and any relevant referrals. The report is yours to keep for your records and share with other providers as needed.
